Here is a recipe for Dry Fruit Sabudana Kheer:
Ingredients to include:
Dry Fruit Sabudana Kheer is made with some simple ingredients that are available in your pantry.
- 1/2 cup sago (sabudana)
- 4 cups full-fat milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- Pinch of saffron (kesar) strands
- 1/2 tsp cardamom (elaichi) powder
- 1 tbsp ghee
- 2 tbsp chopped Cashew nuts
- 1 tbsp chopped Almonds
Steps to Prepare Dry Fruit Sabudana Kheer:-
- Step 1:-Rinse ½ cup sabudana (sago) for few times in running water until the water runs clear of starch.
- Step 2:-On the stovetop, cook sabudana until you see the pearls begin to float on top.
- Step 3:- Then, add 2 cups of whole milk, and ½ teaspoon of green cardamom powder, and stir well.
- Step 4:-Depending on your taste, add 3 to 5 tablespoons of raw sugar.
- Step 5:-Cook over low to medium heat for about 20 to 25 minutes until the sabudana pearls soften and the kheer thickens.
- Step 6:- Turn off the heat and add cashews and Almods, or choose to add your preferred nuts. These sago pearls are plain starch, so it helps in thickening.
